How about a movie about Native Americans? Does that bring enough enjoyment/guilt/hate for you?
I finally was able to watch Skins this afternoon. I have no guilt over Native Americans and their current conditions . . . guilt is only something that one feels when one feels "bad' about what you didn't do (i.e. say "no" to killing Indians). I didn't "do" anything. However, I think the shit that has happened and the ignorance this country has is pretty f-ed up.
That said, this movie is a pretty good representation of life on the Pine Ridge reservation. Plot aside, it sucks there. I'm white. I'm "rich" (i.e. I have enough money to be here). I try and do my part to help people out in this country.
Eh. I'm rambling about nothing. This movie is good, not great. Definitely something worth watching as there is NO other movie out there shot at the Pine Ridge reservation . . . . Well, maybe the Leonard Peltier story, but that's a documentary . . . about (possible . . . probable) government corruption.
Anyway . . . I'm out. Rambling over.
