This is o-so-true in my life. I usually find I was always asking the wrong question. *sigh*

On another note, this is a bit over the top, but it is a poem I wrote quite a few years ago now. I still like it. It takes me back to that day every time I read it.

The eye closes itself
And forces the others open
The blinding truth is faded
Now just a memory, a sunspot

Blinking away the fog
Remembering what is at hand
The heart falters, hope fleas
The weight comes crashing in

Time passes here, ever slowly
Painfully fast at times
It makes forgetting harder.
This is all that is at hand,
And it is true
And it is right

But then the change comes
again, opening the eye once again
This time, the others stay open
And the blinding light fills all that is
Enhancing the beauty, enhancing the truth
Cutting away at the deep seeded lies
Bringing with it a new dawn

Faith will bring a new day.
