I've felt like that many times in my life. It can get really hard. But I think the worst thing you can do is let fear keep you from making decisions. You just have to learn to accept that some decisions will be wrong and move on when something is a mistake.

I'm probably the last person who should give anyone advice. I've made a lot of bad choices. Still, it's been worse when I've failed to act than when I was proactive. I think you have to at least try to control your own destiny.

I've never done mock trial, but on one case they put us against the best mock trial team in the Sacramento area. If I remember correctly the had to defend two girls that were showing that read "There is a bomb on your car" to other cars on the freeway. I just remembered what they were using as a defense, they were saying the girls had straight A's and one of them got an award for some shit. I nervously objected to their defense claiming that none of it mattered for this case, and the judge, thankfully, agreed. It was a tough case for them, they just had to fight against the punishment. Our team got everything we asked for except not allowing them to get licenses until they were 18 since they weren't driving. We even got them to pay $180 dollars for the police helicopters gas that was in the air for five minutes.
