It's my last night here in Kansas. I know, I know, "KANSAS?! What the hell are you doing there?!" It was my grandfather's 80th birthday yesterday. I convinced my family to fly out to celebrate. It was a good time, I swear. This is seriously the first time I've traveled in a long time that I haven't stressed about anything (I mean, once I got here, there was no stress). I'm a bit sad to leave as I don't know when I'll have the time or money to come back (stupid plane tickets being so expensive and stupid work making us do a "group" vacation).

I've eaten amazing barbecue, home-made cake and awesome enchiladas; bought new shoes (from a really cute guy - too bad he's too young and in Kansas), a dress for the cruise next week, and a zip up long sleeved hoodie thing to chill in; and got some work done on my freelance work (not really enough but at least I started. I'm too rusty with InDesign, need to get back into the swing of things).

I've spent time with my family and not wanted to kill them, which is always amazing. Yes, my brother is here, but he knows better than to start shit in front of my grandmother.

Monday requiem and I are going on a four-day cruise to Mexico. I hope that's as relaxing as this trip was.

The new apartment is fantastic for anyone who cares. I love the space and lighting. I just need to get a fridge and put up the art.
