I need some advice, Gentle Readers.

My best friend and former roommate, Chckpotpie, asked me to move in with her. I'm listing out the pros and the cons.

Pro:
She's my best friend. I love her. She always has my back. Me being as depressed as I am, it'd be good to live with someone who knows me so well and knows just what I need to hear to feel better.
I can bed flop (it's how we bond). Again, I can tell her anything and it's nice having that closeness at home.
She's clean. Actually this could be a con. She's much cleaner than I am and sometimes it's an issue but I was much better about being clean when I lived with her.
She has two kitties (granted I don't know if they're exactly what I've been wanting).
She is a good cook (and she likes my cooking).
I'd be living with another female.
I wouldn't be dealing with my idiot brother any more. He's taken to calling me Eric Foreman because I "freak out all the time." I freak out because my kitchen is a disgusting mess, my good baking sheet is ruined, no one else can use the living room because he's always playing Halo 2.

Con:
She wants to live in Tustin. I don't know if I want to live there. I like HB. I wouldn't mind being in Newport, HB or Costa Mesa (she doesn't want to live there because that's where her ex lives. I can understand that).
The amount I spend in housing will go up. I can handle that but the cheap bastard in me wants stay where it's cheaper.
Between the two of us we have a lot of furniture. We both own couches, coffee tables, dining tables, entertainment stands (and I have the sideboard). I'm only attached to my dining table, sideboard and entertainment stand. This is probably a minor detail to work out?
Speaking of furniture, I have a huge bed. I don't want to part with it. I've gotten used to the size of my room. What if we don't find a place comparable in size?
I love my washer in drying in unit. I would like to continue this.
I wouldn't have my own cat. It probably sounds silly but I don't want to get attached to an animal that will leave if we split our ways. It happened with Chutney and I still cry over her.
I love my apartment. I hate moving. I hate change. I'm comfortable here. I know my around this town.

So, Gentle Readers, what would you do?

Pfft, if he's still playing Halo 2, he needs to get with the program. Kick out that loser. wink (Actually, Halo 3 is just...OK, not the greatest game ever or anything...)

I know you love your best friend, but I think you should stay where you are. Change is good, but I don't think this change would be one of those really awesome, necessary changes. If you're looking for one of those changes, move to SF. biggrin
