Ok so I have to rant about something...someONE that is really pissing me off!

I have a class with this girl, well actually she's a woman (she's 32). At first, I thought she was pretty cool and that it was nice to meet a fellow non-traditional student at UMass because that is pretty rare. Anyway, she began telling a few of us how she...

i had a teacher is high school that i couldn't stand. sister theresa (yes she's a nun), she taught french. and i never thought i would agree with her on anything. but she used to say when people were talking too much in class, "some people talk just to hear themselves talk". and now the older i get the more it think she was really on to something there. and i think that this might be what this womans problem is. also she is an attention whore.

ok, yes, I didnt end up commenting. if I did manage to find my way to this site to comment on your journal, god knows what would have been said.

It was a good weekend though.

And for your comment: drama queens are pretty much the lowest on my list of people I like. 'nuff said. The world has too many of them.

So I ask you....IS it a crime to skip class so that you can take a much needed 2 hour nap?? C'mon people...help me stop guilt tripping myself!! biggrin

Merry. smile
silentchild:
No it is not a crime, especially if you e-mail your teacher and tell them that it was imperative that you got your rest as you did not feel like insulting them by sleeping in their class, plus you would have gotten a headache from the desks and such. Whether it be truth or a lie, it appeals to the Teacher's sense of honesty. Much like making a Cop chase you appeals to their manhood. Especially if you give them a good chase then convince them that you thought said cop was a bunch of crazy monkeys out for your blood.

I've seen that work 0 times. But its awesome to watch people try it.

Cheers. smile

Ok so apparently I have put everyone to sleep with my 20 "interesting" facts so I figured I would update but there really is nothing to talk about. Aside from the fact that it is snowing before my birthday, things are actually pretty decent around these parts. smile

I think I need someone to make an intervention here. I'm tired and stressed, although done writing the first foolish paper of this class. I should be jumping for joy, dancing around on tabletops, but no...I'm still worrying about my damn grade for Pete's sake! I have no confidence. whatever

Terrakotta's list of 20 interesting facts about herself have caused me to now begin pondering...

I feel that colleges and universities were designed to torture poor students into believing that they are inferior beings. I have a paper due Friday (but I have to hand it in tomorrow since I am not on campus Friday) in a class that is instructed by one of THE hardest graders on campus. It's only a 3-4 page paper but I feel that my...

Ok this rain is seriously becoming a problem. I am so UN-motivated it's not even funny. I have sooo much stuff staring me in the face and I can't even begin to get interested in doing any of it (beyond the actual thought that I have stuff to do and it might be interesting to start doing it.) Right now though I think it's best...

and i bueno y sano has awesome burritos too. but i can't walk to bueno y sano. frown
terrakotta:
I like the new profile pic too!

Earlier in the week, on channel 22 news, there was a "special report" on how the endless rain can induce deep depression. Their tips on staying sane included limit the amount of television you watch (and watch the deluge of water outside the window instead???!!) and don't drink: it will only make you feel worse. I found it strangely amusing that they added that last one, and I plan to write to their news chief and tell them just how wrong they are tongue But, this morning, IT'S A MIRACLE! The sun is beaming through my windows and I am quite excited. I bet you are feeling better too.

Hopefully no more man bashing either? At least a man-bashing moratorium biggrin

Dear Rain,

I regret to inform you that we will have to ask you leave the Western Massachusetts area for an unspecified amount of time. You see, our very esteemed collegue, Gamma, has decided that she no longer likes you for several reasons.

1) You suck to drive in

2) While driving in near whiteout conditions due to your persistent downpouring, it's no fun to...

EXCITEMENT!!

I now have a SINK in my bathroom!! WOOHOO!! I never thought I would be so excited about a sink but after many a morning and night brushing my teeth in either the kitchen sink or the bathtub I've come to appreciate what a wonderful invention that bathroom sink is!!

In other news, one of my dogs tried to eat my cat this morning,...

Tickets I have say show starts at 8:30, doors open at 7:30. I am guessing that the two other performances (bands?) will start first, but doors do open at 7:30.

I think being sick has caused my eyes to change shape, thus impairing me from wearing my contacts!! It appears as if a bout of allergies has followed up The Sickness so now I want to scratch my eyes out of my head! I'm sure people think I'm a crackhead or smoking pot or something (neither of which have I ever done or intend to...

alergies suck. so far i've lucked out this year. (knocks on wood)
and sorry i don't know any barbera striesand that could fit the situation. actually if i woke up with bab's in my head i would know that it was going to be the worst day of my life. i like my choice of music. and it WAS actually in my head when i woke up. wink
as for buring man. it's a festival that happens at the end of summer every year a few hundred miles outside reno nv in the black rock desert. it's an amazing community of people and artists that gather to celebrate life and all sorts of things. also to get away from the world and let everyone's freak flag fly without worry of anyone judging you because everyone there is just as big of a freak as you. i went last summer and plan to go back, it was so much fun. i just missed it this year because my friend that sets everything up was on his honeymoon. maybe next year. smile
