See what happens when I get really excited about something (reference previous entry)? BAM..misfortune strikes! I'm driving down Riverdale Rd today in Westside and people who are fucking brake happy decide they are going to slam on their brakes in the middle of the rain-slicked road causing a pick up truck to slam right into my rear-end. Something flew up and hit me in the face, causing me to panic thinking I'd lost a front tooth! The poor guy who hit me now has no front end and both of his air bags deployed rendering his truck undriveable. Me, on the other hand, escaped with just a dented rear-end and the inability to close my trunk. No big deal, right? Just bang it out and all will be well? WRONG-O!! I go straight to the appraiser who informs me that they will probably just total my vehicle eeek eeek This is problematic because I use my vehicle for work: I'm a courier for Pete's sake!! I really wasn't planning on buying a new car anytime soon since my car runs great and frankly I'm happy to not have car payments. This just blows! And to add insult to injury (or lack of injury, thank God), my lovely employer is just interested in my ability to drive...I didn't even get a "Gee, Missy are you ok, are you hurt, do you need time off?" No, none of that...that would indicate that these people have a soul and we wouldn't want that rumor to get out now would we?? In any case, I should hear from the insurance company within the next couple days as to what they are going to do with the car. Send me prayers and thoughts and whatnot because I am going to need them surreal
