Ok so I have to rant about something...someONE that is really pissing me off!
I have a class with this girl, well actually she's a woman (she's 32). At first, I thought she was pretty cool and that it was nice to meet a fellow non-traditional student at UMass because that is pretty rare. Anyway, she began telling a few of us how she gets up at 545 every morning and runs 6 miles then goes to school at 8, has classes until 6 and then goes to work until 11. I thought that was a pretty rough regimen and was in awe of her for having that much discipline. Over the next few weeks she starts coming into class and complaining about how horrible the administration is to her (which is true, I know from experiencing it myself) and how she had to drop out of the Honors College because she didn't have time to write a thesis and graduate in May. So now I'm like, "Ok, I hear ya but you aren't the only one who has things going on."
She proceeds to go on about how she gets all As and has a 4.0 in her major, blah, blah, blah. Then she announces to the class that she is bisexual and dyslexic (why she did this I have no idea). So now I'm beginning to think that she is a huge attention seeker ... there is always one in every class .. and proceed to just ignore her. THEN....
I missed class on Tuesday because of lack of sleep from a really horrible weekend (I'm having some anxiety problems) and it just so happened that I missed *gasp* a group presentation!!!
Of course, it just so happens that I was out on the day of the 2nd group's presentation, too. So I come to class on Thursday and see one of the other girls we sit near and she tells me that Her Majesty said that anyone who misses presentations should get 10 points off their final grade!!! Now, I may be missing something here but wasn't she just complaining about her poor, busy lifestyle and how ridiculous UMass was?? Now mind you, she has also missed 2 classes because she needed to write papers. And she made sure she informed us all that she got an A on the paper that I was stressing over. Yeah, that's great! I would have gotten an A too if I had missed class and spent 16 hours writing the paper!
God people like this piss me off!!!!

It was a good weekend though.
And for your comment: drama queens are pretty much the lowest on my list of people I like. 'nuff said. The world has too many of them.
