All is well, since I have seen good theater.
If you're reading this, and you are anywhere near DC, you NEED to go see Synetic Theater's production of Hamlet. Your life will be better for it. They're a Georgian (land of Reds, not of rednecks) troupe now based out of the Spectrum theater in Rosslyn, and the production is a silent interpretive dance/mime version of the play.
Uh... it's much better than that makes it sound.
Anyway, I have rarely been happier at spending an unfortunate amount of money on seeing a play (and the last time was seeing their Salome when they were still sharing space with the Stanislavsky Theater at the Church St. space, so I guess I'm a fan...). And the actor playing Claudius is freakin' hot (I know it's weird to say that about a production of Hamlet, but he is).
Go check out Synetic's website. Go see the show. End public service announcement.

zork:
Alas, the transportation costs make it quite beyond my reach. DC is not quite, but pretty near, as far as one can be and still be on the same continent. Sounds great, though. Maybe they'll travel to BC sometime. Well, that's blatant wishful thinking. But we can hope, right?
