As much as i dislike the term "soul mate" i gotta hand it to whomever came up with it.

I don't really know how one would feel if they ever bumped into their "soul mate", or if they'd even know for sure. I mean, we're never sure, right? We doubt everything depending on what we've been through and experienced, yes? Up to the point where you happen upon this person, the life you've led could literally have ruined any chance of you being able to even realize that you've just bumped into someone so rare. At least that's what i believe.

Not to get too deep here, but the voids one might be harboring.... maybe even without being aware of them.... These voids could distort feelings you might initially have when you meet someone.... anyone for that matter. Needs, wants, etc. Insitincts take over and it's almost as if you're in 'self-repair' so you naturally look to fill these voids first and foremost. Unless it's something rare and you're in a place where you no longer have voids to fill. You're whole, you make good decisions in your life, you're happy with your job, your life, and at the end of the day, you feel pretty good about everything.

All that aside, i recently bumped into someone that left me feeling things i've never felt before. It's rare in the sense that, for a time, it had me thinking about all of the above mentioned......things.

We like the same music, age isn't an issue. The person is attractive, smart, quirky, funny, and unfortunately, as it turns out, spoken for.

We've all seen it in movies where the "friend" runs into the church and stops the wedding during the ceremony to profess their love for the person they feel they should be with before it's "too late". But no one can imagine themselves doing it for real. I never could until now myself.

So what do you do about it? Well, i'll tell you what you do about it. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. You tell no one and just be happily content that she exists. You have a short talk with yourself to confirm that you'll do nothing about it and move on, followed shortly by an argument with yourself about the fact that no one on the planet would take better care of her if it all worked out between the two of you and you magically had the chance to find out. Then back to the sensible decision of doing nothing at all. You vow you'll never speak a word about it to anyone, think about it, or wash the smell of her from your coat...

Taking that chance to tell someone how you feel towards them is very important. I took a chance with a man that I met in september, all the odds were that it wasn't going to be forever concidering he lives in Plano Texas and was here in Canada on contract work. I had an amazing time, he was more then what I expected, he made me feel good in every way and I told him how and what he ment to me.
After going to visit with him in Toronto for a couple of great days this past weekend , He left for home, I got an e-mail from him around 2 in the afternoon and 12 hours later he died in a car accident. So it's still fresh but I took a chance and I'm glad I did it helps. You never know what could happen in life but one thing is for sure if you don't take chances you don't have a chance. So I say go ahead and tell her how you feel.

This will make no sense, but your entry really was real as hell, and deserves a real as hell response.
Stand in the center and let the circle go round and round. After all do we really have any control over anything? I say, let it play out, if it is meant to be, it will be, despite any and all circumstances. If it is not enjoy the fantasy and be wiser the next time around. Maybe you will get a new friend out of this experience?
