It's kinda been a bittersweet week so far.
I'm excited about Nicole comin to town Friday.
I'm happy the Twins sealed the deal.
But i'm sad over the loss of Ike at Roy's bait.
When i was 17 i started going in there to rummage through all the old baits and reels Dorothy had in there. She was the owner at the time, and Ike werked in back on the outboards and stuff. I'd sit down and she'd wax my ass in a few games of cribbage as she chain smoked navy cut straights. When she passed, Ike bought the place and took over. It was a while before i could go back in cuz i missed Dorothy a lot, but when i finally did, Ike understood and felt the same as i did. We talked a lot about her, got to playing some cribbage and before i knew it, i was a regular again. It had been about a month since i'd stopped in to play cribbage with Ike and got current with where the Muskies were and if they were turned on yet. I regret that.
Hope they get the fucker that killed him.
