I had a very similar thought the other day... about how there are all these unattractive/ugly things but after awhile we just stop noticing them and we forget about them all together. It gave me an idea for a crazy sci-fi movie. There's a whole sub-culture of unattractive ppl and things that we've just erased from our field of sight.

it's just amazing. Warhol is so overrated but I like the bright colors of the art of that time, so it's a relief to find a period artist that fits my tastes.
