I've got a new blog out there
It's called 59 cents a pound
You can find it at:
http://59centsapound.blogspot.com/
There are a few pictures there now, and I'll be posting more, but it's not really for the pictures: It's mainly a practice blog for when I got to Germany next year (and when I'll set up a real one).
Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think, here or at the blog-site.
Also, I'm leaving St. Augustine on Thursday; smiles to everyone I met here (you know who you are).
It was especially fine to listen to a real radio station for the first time in months (WFCF-The Reason): DC is such a radio wasteland
Especially Jenny and Mike--their show rocked, even if Jenny didn't have the Le Tigre on hand I requested.
Maybe next time I'll take a turn in the broadcast booth--it's been a long time since 59 cents a pound was on the air at WCUA...
Anyway, it was real, and it was fun, but it wasn't real fun...not!
Later,
DPO

Anyway, I forgot to add that my next stop on my summer tour is --Ann Arbor, MI! My birth-town (despite what it says about Detroit; they used to always make the same mistake with Seger, Bob, that is...).
Anyway, I'm heading back there this Saturday by bus from DC for about a month-and-a-half, so let's get this party started...takin' it on the road, to A-squared, cruisin' around the diag, eating dogs at Red Hot Lovers, Reubens at Zingermans, working my butt off painting houses for about six weeks.
Also, will be in the Bay area and Monterrey June 16 through June 26, doing a conference (that's in Monterrey) on Asian and Comparative Philosophy (June 20-23), heading down to SLO--June 23-26--and then flying back to A-squared on June 26-27...doin' the red eye, like a rock star.
June 16-19 I'll be holding court up in Berkeley with Jason Maior and Jason Minor, philosophizin', drinkin', and ...well, you know.
