A bit about my work today since I'd better put something here. :p

I work in an office for a company that handles electrical mapping for the London and eastern regions of England. It's not an exciting job by any means but it pays well for what it is, it's not difficult or taxing, we're allowed casual/smart dress and there are a fair few people there and we all get on quite well and have a laugh as we click so it's a pretty positive job overall.

Anyways, said company has been working towards accquring a new standard/accreadatation that will in kind encourage more buisness for them.
For a fair few weeks now they've been banging on about these inspectors coming to audit us and basiclly test to see that our processes are up to this new set of standards.
It is now Tuseday the 5th of October and the day before the insepection, myself and my friends within the team I work in are sitting at our desks watching our managers run around like the proverbial chickens tidying stuff up and putting papers in order.
The general consensus among us is that they're putting too much effort into this and it really doesn't sound worth it.
As we sit there one of us says in a joking manner that he personally hasn't put enough effort in and feels he should do more, "why not wear a suit tomorrow" laughs my mate next to me. "I do have a suit I could wear" he replys in a thoughtfull tone, a quick glance around the table is exchanged between us.
"There's no I in team" I proclaim to a round of laughs, "why not?" says another, "shall we?"
A gentlemens agreement is reached and the plot is hatched, all four of us will wear a full suit to work tomorrow in place of the usual casual shirt and slacks.

Really rock an' roll, huh? wink

So that's why I went to work this morning in my full suit which I haven't worn since the interview for this job nearly 6 months ago.
I arrive to a short round of chears from the first two friends who (I am pleased to see) have remembered their part in the agreement.
Briefly thereafter the last member of our little pact arrives wrapped in a long duffel coat.
"Did you remember?"/"Are you wearing..?" the two closer to the door ask as he walks past to sign in, he shakes his head and gives an apolagetic look.
He is greeted with, "Gahh"/"You let the side down man" and other assorted friendly jeers as he takes off his coat to reveal the most pimpin 80's suit I've seen since Vice City. eeek

Laughter and confused questions abound from every corner of the office, "we should do this more often" the pimp mastah says.
"Why?" I ask in between laughing at my collegues bemused stares.
He replys, "beacuse it's freaking everyone out" biggrin

Hey biggrin sounds like your work places is way more fun than mine
