I called the Humane Society Today and found out the dog we surrendered for his owner got euthanized.

I volunteer for our local humane society for cats and we have the same type of policy, cat bite really suck though...they get terribly (sp?) infected. and even though we are "no kill" we have had to put down cats for "aggression" when they attack (bite/scratch) visitors, its a case by case decision though, if someone is bit/scratched they can request the cat be PTS and we have to comply by our state laws. even though we carefully screen the cats that come in, once in a while we are misled. we also have a free-roaming/no cage environment (after the initial 10 day quarintene) so if they are feral/semi-feral they do lousy in our shelter.
I'm the sucker who takes home the aggressive litters of kittens and the occasional adult cat to try to socialize them. I currently have a 10 week old spaz kitty how shits itself (no idea if it male or female) everytime it runs out of a room we enter. its been a long 6 days already.

it's sad they put him down, but he did show signs of agression while he was staying with us, it was kind of a deciding factor in taking him there....I didn't really know at the time so i thought maybe they would know better? i dont't know. I'm just glad we didn't give him to someone.... cuz, if he had bitten anyone....ugh.
