"You have ravished my heart, my sister, my bride,
you have ravished my heart with a glance of your eyes,
with one jewel of your necklace.
How sweet is your love, my sister, my bride!
how much better is your love than wine,
and the fragrance of your oils than any spice!
Your lips distil nectar, my bride;
honey and milk are under your tounge..."

i must appologize for my earlier statement about god. i have never been able to make any kind of leap of faith to believe or not believe...i just dont care to be honest.

this whole sick thing sucks
a35mmlife:
thanks felix.

i have been through the propoganda ringer. im over it. ive done away with the rules and am creating my own version of peace. someone once told me something that put everything into perspective for me...they told me to 'stop will all this reason...come be fat and happy with us'...sometimes i think they are right. it's a difficult leap to take, but once you cross the line...its all sunny and miracle like.

but it is just not my bag. ive lived in jerusalem, center of the big three. ive been to the holiest of holies for all three. ive spoken with, studied under, broken break with and sought shelter with the most spiritual people I have ever known. I have never been so uncomfortable. Jerusalem is the darkest/ugliest city in the world. so much hatred and anger and blindness masked in religious rhetoric. you see for me its that very leap of faith that makes me sooooo frightened of religion in the first place. if i never go back it would be too soon. false prophets everywhere.

but the falaffel sure did kick ass!!!!

Does you believe in numerology? The belief that numbers have power?

Randy was a firm believer in numerology. He woke up on the 5th of May, 1955. It was his 55th birthday and he could not believe that he had missed the aligning of all the numbers.
He went to the bank to see how much money he had. He had $555.55. Withdrawing all of...

That's an interesting perspective on intuition.
theoriginalsin:
(To answer your quiry.)

I personally don't believe in right or wrong. I believe people have perspectives or points of views. From these points of views they determine how their lives should be lead and how they see things in the world.

My personal point of view is that the mind is logical and tries to form patterns and the subconcious works with the abstract, unformed and strongly operations with universal energy. Intuition is a bridge between these two sides of ourselves.

Is your point of view more correct then mine. Who am I to judge such things?

Thought for the day: Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways???

Thought for the morrow: Why do we call them apartments when they are all crammed together?

They say good things come to those who wait.

Aren't the things that come to those who wait the leftovers of those who got there first?

I agree...hell, the other day i told someone i was "going with the flow and letting things happen" and they told me to stop being a pussy and take control of my destiny...yikes huh shocked

Does anyone remember the memory game we all played as a child?

You would spread out all the cards face down and then try to find two that matched. The one with the most pairs at the end won.

I have been checking out different profiles and to the best of my memory, NO ONE has the SAME three SuicideGirls on their profile!

Has anyone...

Got a picture up. Will have to work on the quality.

Probably my favorite quote of all time...

I was really happy to get your email, you are completely right about me expecting to get what i give (loosly paraphrased). I know that is why i am often crushed under the weight of my own expectations of others. I am wittled down, and recieving your email like that really touched me. It makes me feel like I am understandable and that someone is listening. It's even better when it's someone who can appreciate bill murray and the brilliance of Ground hog day.

From some forgotten corner of my brain came a poem that I read years ago.

It believe it was written by a guy named Anonymous. (That Anonymous fellow was a very prolific writer!)

_____________WHAT IF?_________________

What if you went to sleep....
and what if in your sleep, you dreamed....
and what if in your dream, you went to Heaven...
and there, you plucked a strange...

I am: white male, mid thirties, stubborn as a stone, loyal to a fault,

I enjoy: people watching, not having to entertain or be entertained all the time, being left alone when sick, close friends where if we have not talked for a year can just pick up where we left off, laughing so hard that I cant breathe,

Looking for: my wife to come...

Question: What is the crookedest thing in the world?

Answer: ?
dia:
Hi sweetness. Thank you for your kind affirmations in my journal entry. But I do not think of God in a threefold sense, as I a from a non-Judeo Christian background, and tend to put God as more of an abstract summation of the Universe in some quasi-Hindu mahabrahma sense.

My perception of the world has always been a little different. I've been told I'm your usual alien observer. Things strike me, but don't really touch me very often. I don't think the world is quite mine. But that's okay... there are two kinds of people, those who were fully born, who own the world, and do in it, and those who are still half in the last world and walking around like spacemen, looking out. No matter how hard you try to be one or the other, you are what you are. My concerns are eternally not very earthly, and emotions and irony seem to be what I operate by.

I appreciate your feedback in my journals, and find you very interesting and inquisitive as well. Tell me more about you. I'm fascinated by theology, and have been reading the Bible for several years now, to understand how people think, and to try to understand in general. In the past I've read the Hindu scriptures, lots of Sufi scripture, and some of the old Testament. Very very interesting to me. I like that you listed that as your favourite book. It shows great depth of character.

Well....
Took a 600 mile driving trip to see an attorney regarding an estate, of which I am unfortunately the Administrator. $130/hr. I'm apparently in the wrong business. Talked to the attorney for 1.5 hours and spent $195.

My CD player is broken which has not been an annoyance on short trips in town, but on a long trip, wow. There is an amazing shortage...
