Well, I'll have to agree with TinfoilHalo about a bear crossing your path being bad luck.

What about a rabbit crossing your path. Would that be the luckiest thing ever?

i was bit super super hard once by my friends rabbit...all i was trying to do was feed it but i guess instead of eating the food it wanted my hand instead....so yeah ever since ive been just a tad bit scared of rabbits....i think i would rather encounter a cute little possum or armadillo or something along those lines....
faith:
But what if the bunny was rabid and wanted to....eat tasty brains... Sorry, energy left over from last night.

Thanks to everyone who posted on my journal. Each and every one of you are right.

I'm going for it!

Now we all know that a black cat crossing your path is supposed to be bad luck.

I just had a white cat cross my path. Is that good luck?

What about a gray cat? Can the luck go either way then?

I never understood the cat thing . If a grizzly bear crosses your path THAT'S most likely going to be bad luck for you . Cats , I don't know . Feh...enough of this cat nonsense .

I hereby wish you good luck on the new job . Any cat that has a problem with that will have to answer to me .
possession09:
thanks for your concern, G...and as for the job advice...do whatever
you feel happiest doing......because when it really boils down to it, that is
what is going to feel the most right.

Hey!

I need opinions!

I have worked in my present company for 8.5 years. Working my way up and I am now in supervision. There is still room to move up, however.

I ran into an acquaintance of mine who normally does not work in my building. Turns out he was hiring for a position that I went to school for. I applied and have...

on one hand i would say that the stability of an 8 yr job right now is not something to take lightly. Im not sure what the market is like out there in the woods with the berries and the spiders, but here... its not the best of times to be unemployed.

On the other hand, i would say that not being challenged on a day to day basis is a waste of so much of your time...your life. If you feel like there to room for growth (not raises and praises, but growth) at the new job, than concider it...

its just a big risk. lots of factors im sure... something tells me that you, mr. cain, will be just fine.

was it ginsing? how many fingers am i holding up?
morgan:
Do what's best for YOU. If the people at your current job care about you, they'll understand.

What WOULD Freud say about Tornados, anyhow?

My wife and I have 10 acres, mostly wooded. This is about the time of year to go hunting for ginseng. I took my walking stick made of american chestnut (from an old fence rail) with me.

Now, what I don't understand is why spiders feel the need to build webs at eye level. Don't bugs fly higher and lower than eye level?

So, instead...

The spiders stole the red berries to screw with you for messing with their webs . Pesky arachnids .

For me even in my DREAMS i'm touchy feely...but last night I had a dream that I reached out to hug someone and BOOM, a tornado came. So maybe that meansa something...

or maybe I just like dreaming about tornados.

A Zen Master and his student were out walking one day when they spied a fox chasing a hare. The student remarked that the fox would soon catch the hare.

The Zen Master claimed that it was not so; that the hare would get away.

The student was surprised and questioned his Master. "But, Master, the fox is more agile, more cunning and is quicker...

"The Skin Horse had lived longer in the nursery than any of the others. He was so old that his brown coat was bald in patches and showed the seams underneath, and most of the hairs in his tail had been pulled out to string bead necklaces. He was wise, for he had seen a long succession of mechanical toys arrive to boast and swagger,...

Want to hear a joke? Take out five pennies, please. The answers are in my previous journal entry.

1.Place the first penny face up in front of you. Do you smell anything there?

2.Place the second penny face up in front of you. Do you see any fruit there?

3.Now the third penny, face up. Do you see any snakes there?

4.And the fourth penny,...

I just want to let you know that your comments in Faith's journals are consistantly some of the most inspirational comments I read on this site. You have such a powerfully addictive possitive outlook on life. Its inspirational. I do hope to find not only the clarity you have, but also your ability to share it with such precision and grace.

i too have a thing for hot-tuff-lesbians (my Fliplet/better-half fits the description)...long story...

I'm with "a35MMlife" . I think you have an amazing ability to see through all of the "doom and gloom" and find a positive way to deal with it . It's also wonderful that you choose to share your gift with those who truly need it . Sometimes I try my best to provide some sort of respite for people who are going through tough times . Most of the time I feel useless in my endeavors however . Keep up the good work . Even the people who you aren't directly trying to effect appreciate it .

Here's what I hope will be true of me when I leave this world. (Thinking I had better live for quite a bit longer.) :-)

Is it weird that I think Mark Twain is kind of hot? Not for his looks (obviously...he's dead. but he wasn't exactly an attractive dude when he was alive, either), but for his brilliant brain?

As if it wasn't as obvious as a flagpole, I like quotes.

"...If given the chance to go back, I would not take it. Therefore, the decision to go ahead is my own responsibility, to be accepted with a whole heart, or so I write here, in faint hope that the words may give me courage."
Peter Matthiessen

(p.s.- the last quote was from the...
