Well...this is my new blog...figure once a month a minimum is sufficient? I was cutting it close this month, only seven days to go.

Not that I always have a topic, but tonight...wow...I really have nothing to vent, ponder, or rhetorically ask of you; my audience....er....I probably have no audience. <uncomfortable silence>

Well...I am pretty sure that I'm going to be sent back to the States for a couple weeks on a temporary duty assignment. I'm actually really excited since I have not left this Rock yet and my tour is half way finished. Mississippi probably still isn't much better in its recovery from Katrina, but I'll welcome it for it's quasi familiarity.
See, I never went off base before the hurricane so I have no frame of reference for what there was to do.

Destin, Florida isn't very far away from where I'll be, and that's where I have some family right now; so I'll be spending my weekend(s) there...I'm also excited since I had such a short time to spend with them when I saw them last.

Before this develops any sense of cohesion, theme, or true intellect I'll quit while I'm ahead...
