Where to begin......................

My magic date of 15 July for my Medic class ending just got pushed back 2 weeks...

The Senior Games are gonna be in town; and the local for-profit, half-asssed private ambulance/cab company that bid the contract to provide coverage PUNTED on it.

So now, we at my 911 service are gonna have to step up and provide the 10 trucks they'd promised, on top of the 5 we were gonna provide anyway, ON TOP of our normal street coverage.........

They've temporarly suspended everyone's education days thru the whole service for the next 2 weeks; PLUS pulled our instructors to take up the slack...... and all these will be 16 hour shifts,not our noraml 10-14 hr. ones.

AND I just got a letter to report for Jury Duty on the 2nd of July.......

If I can't get a temporary postponment on jury duty.... and I miss more than the 6 days of medic class I'm allowed(I've missed 4 already over the past 11 months)... did I just waste the last 11 months of my life. Will the National Board allow 6+ misses if Jury Duty is involved??????

I was already resolved to miss my brother's Formal Graduation from cop-school, as well as our familay's party to celebrate his achievment...... all in the name of Medic class. Now I'm still gonna miss it, and my not be allowed to continue class.

MY life................. gotta love it!!

Seriously........... I feel like my life these past two years (since starting at EMS) has been a gift.... and I do believe in my heart that my work and effort will be rewarded and I'll get to finish and test... but DAMN!!!!!! The last lil bit of this paramedic-pregnancy has been some roller-coaster son's a bitches!!

Can you say..... "Stress... it's NOT just for breakfast anymore"
