Had a couple of pieces up for the gallery hop show this past weekend. It was nice seeing some of my work finally going up for display. I'm ready to start getting even more pieces together for future shows...
Friday night I went to Troy for the PunkNite show w/kellyjanice and got to see the bar that I got horribly, horribly wasted at during my 1st PunkNite show. A couple of the bands were good, some were fucking lame. Had a decent time. Didn't manage to get so drunk that I wandered around incoherently- which is a plus. Sort of a weird scene going on that place- upstairs was for punk rockers, downstairs was for club-hoppers, or wanna-be club-hoppers anyways. WTF? strange strange mix lemme tell you. 2 weekends in a row I go out to some place that's mixing it up like a margarita party w/Old Kentucky Tavern thrown in for kicks. The weekend before at 1470's they were doing hip-hop downstairs and goth/industrial upstairs- for some strange reason, though, it sort of worked out. However, I can't possibly fathom a bunch of sweaty rock n rollers ever wanting to mix it up w/a bunch of collared-shirt wearing tennis visor sporting clean cut freakboy crowd that was downstairs at this bar on Saturday. I kept hoping that the chaos upstairs would spill out down to the floor below, showering the Abercrombie crowd w/loud, raunchy rock n roll that would turn their eardrums to mush and turn their idea of a good time into a run for the door. But that's just me.
I suppose w/all that's been going down that I'd have more to say, but I don't. I feel like shit and seriously think I need to see a doctor as I'm worried I might have something wrong w/me internally. Its sort of put a damper on my mood this evening. I think I'm gonna retire to hopefully awaken w/o going through a night of gut-wrenching pain...
