ok. yesterday, i recieved the creepiest response ever from a customer. i was working the front end of hot topic, when a middle-aged man walks in. here's what went down-

me: hi! how are you?
creepo: goodbuttheytookawaymostofmyunsupervisedtime. (he talked funny...dumb like napoleon dynamite, and without any pauses.)

(i proceeded to take a half-step back, not knowing why this man was under regular supervision, and wishing to keep myself alive and safe.)

me: wellllll, can i...help you find anything?
creepo: noijustgothere. ineedtolookaround.

he walked away, and i pretended to fold shirts so i could keep a look out for any sign of violent/disturbed behavior. i've never been so relieved to have someone leave the store before.
