There seem to be 2 styles of hero in those movies. The really dumb one who feels compelled to go into dark rooms/forest, etc without weapons and normally in a tank top (I particularly love that logic when dealing with critters that bite) and the macho hero who charges blindly into empty areas shooting like a madman and yet not taking the time to do silly things like aim!
I think all I need to survive in a monster movie is a friend who is slower both physically and menatally than I am!

Even if you weren't drunk and found the remote you would have had the options of that movie, weather, or infomercials. I choose Centepede any day of the week.
