Kontroll and Off Beat. FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC!!
I am officially in love with the Philly Film Festival. Kontroll was one of the coolest films I have seen in quite a long time. great acting, spectacular visuals, and a really cute hungarian chick in a bear suit, who then changes into a pixie costume, HAWT!!
Then there is Off Beat. I love this film. The characters were all very easy to like, especially November(Jessica Schwartz). She was impossible not to fall in love with. This movie was very un-american(of course, it was german) in that every possible taboo was broken. there was a 5-minute sex scene in which you see November from every angle possible, and it was funny watching the poor little typical americans squirm in their seats while i was enjoying every minute of it, from both an artistic AND horny 20 year old standpoint.(just kidding) hehe, s3x is teh s3x. all in all though, a very interesting film, and full of crazy twists and turns.
i am going to go to sleep, cuz laura's grandmother died, so i need to be ready to provide moral supporting fire tomorrow. being on call for something like that is NOT fun, but i want to be there for her when she needs it. her grandmother was like her mother, so she is in terrible shape. why does this shit always happen to the best people?
