so i might be getting a tattoo. yeah, go ahead and call me stupid, crazy, weird, fucked up, or anything else for that matter, before you know what it is. no, i'm not getting a nice heart with "mom" written on it, nor am i going to have the girl of the hour's moniker inked into my skin for posterity. it is something timeless, a love that will never change, and will never be out of style. in fact, it is something that will become more and more of an icon as the years go by. i want to get a quarter-sized leica red dot. i want to show the world where my allegiances lie, and what my heart truly yearns for. i don't want to get this because it's cool, or because other people are doing it. in fact, no one else(to my knowledge) has this particular design. it is not designed to be an advertisement, but rather an homage to an icon of photographic history. i want my children/grandchildren to ask me what the tattoo is, and i will take them on a journey to a time when digital photography was an image of several numbers shot with black and white 35mm film. i will explain to them the process that i love so much, and hopefully inject them with my incurable passion for photography.
