"Here we go again. She'll break my heart again. I'll play the part again. One more time." -Ray Charles and Norah Jones: Here we Go again

Let's try this again. Maybe it'll work this time. One of the girls I work with is from Congo. Her name is Ntumba, and she is drop-dead gorgeous. She and I have always chit-chatted here and there about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and all sorts of other unimportant things. I have been considering asking her out for the past couple months, but never got up the courage to do it. So, tonight, she and I were both working in the concession stand, and I went on break. When I came back, she and I started talking. She started talking about how she hated the fact that no one could ever pronounce her name, and even when she told them how to say it(the n is silent), they still could not do it. She was getting bubbly over the fact that I could not only pronounce her name, but I also knew a good bit about Africa. Well, things kept getting sidetracked because of random spurts of customers, and so she started to rant(in a quiet way) about that, and we spaced out until the manager told us to snap out of it. So, as I was leaving, I put a note in front of her register telling her that "I would love to talk sometime without all those pesky customers." After I left, I realized I had left all of my drawing supplies in the office. So, I went back, and after I grabbed my stuff, I went over to my register and grabbed my bowl. She was grinning ear-to-ear as I said goodnight. So hopefully she'll give me a call. If not, then it wasn't meant to be, but based on that smile, I don't think that's the case. Time will tell. love
