So I got into Phish after loving The Grateful Dead passionately for so long. I started to get into them in late 1995, and saw my first show in 1996. I was very much deferred from the entire scene by my much older Deadhead friends and boyfriend at the time, they thought it was a much "shadier" scene, but in reality it was not. The Dead scene towards the end was just as bad as Phish was/is etc. In my opinion at least. So here I am this little 15/16 year old kinderwhore riot grrrl loving chick who got flung into this movement and loved it, soon I was following many bands around the country, making handmade clothing to sell on lot, and had the quentesential dreadlocks, etc. I met my best friends on this tour, boyfriends, my current love, and sooo many incredible people I never knew existed. Although throughout the 10 years I have had my love affair with Phish I have seen many people fall down to the pull of drug's, which of course I fell into as well. That part of my life has stopped <the harder drugs>, but I admit when I hear those nitrous tanks hissing in the middle of the night after the shows, camped out with all your tour buddies, eating some funky after show meal my mouth drools to suck on those till I pass out. But anyways....I have never felt anything similar to the feeling I got when seeing Phish, your heart is so full and ready to explode, you have a perma grin, you hug people you dont know, your eyes well up because they have moved you in a way you can not describe. I owe this band alot, indrirectly they gave me a job by selling to the followers of the band, they suppported me for a long time. I got to meet all the great people, have learned muuuuch about human behavior, and so much more. If ANYONE wants me to burn them a show I will do it with no hesitation. I miss PHISH. R.I.P
But am waiting for TREY TOUR where I plan on hitting up the 2 NYC show at the Hammerstein, as well as the ATLANTA show mmmm I Atlanta, and then on the way back to Michigan hit up the Ohio show as well. I look forward to hooking up with my old tour friends, 1 inparticular but dont know if they will be there. We'll see.
