well, it's 79 degrees, not a cloud in the sky and the crickets are out. 12:15 at night is a gorgeous time. i'm sitting back drinking my jack and vanilla coke and playing my mandolin and can't help but be amazed how well i live. it's four days away from the closing on my first house. three bedrooms, two baths, and two and a half acres. surrounded by two horse pastures and a soybean field. i know i may be the minority when i say i like living in the country. solitude is a way of life i can get behind. i'll have room for my cars, trucks and motorcycle so i am happy.
And let me tell you about the CREEK. holy hell. the creek that runs the length of my land is GORGEOUS. it's a small blackwater creek, full of frogs, small fish, crayfish and more predatory birds than you can shake a stick at......and i would love to expand the house and clear some trees for a garden.....but i don't want to damage the natural beauty of the creek and natural habitat.
i've just bought a house and i've never been so scared and excited in my whole life.
