A question:

Is it better to:

a) Stay friends with that gal, meanwhile be angry that things didn't go as planned and hate it any time she brings up another guy, all the while pining? (Btw, I suck at pining.)

b) Tell her that the friendship is over and treat her with utter politeness, but also utter neutrality.
