KP = Legend
Sunday was brilliant, test cricket has such a brilliant vibe in the stadium and it's so easy to get caught up in it.
When I left I was in such a perfect, blissful mood I decided to walk back through Regents Park and see where the moment took me. Brilliant decision, Regents Park on Sunday evenings is about as chilled out as the world gets and my peaceful state was conformed fro the rest of the evening.
I decided to walk back to Victoria from there and on my way back I passed the Australian memorial at Constitution Hill. It was only dedicated in 2003 but unlike a lot of modern memorials it's a very tasteful moving piece of art. Basically it's just a wall with water running down it. Etched into the wall in large, bold letters are the names of places Australians fought in the World Wars and in smaller letters that you have to get close up to see are thousands of places names where Australians came from, places all over the world. War memorials always make me think and in my contemplative mood it really got to me. Anyway I think people should head up there if they get the chance just to understand how lucky we are today.
Enough preaching.
Took a slow meandering train home and arrived tired, happy and looking forward to the week.
I was in such a good mood it took until 2:30 today for me to get pissed off with work. Work got through to me in the end though. Roll on college so that I can start my escape bid from the rat race.
(I'm looking forward to 20-20 season myself).
