Been sick today. Not really but thats what I told work. biggrin

You know how some things are totally crappy and there's nothing you can do about them, not even ignore them?

Why is that? Why doesn't life have a fix everything now button?

Bobby Conn on Thursday though so I can lose myself in the good times. whatever

The new S-K album arrived yesterday. I haven't actually left the house since and have barley left my room. Its amazing although I am absolutely gutted that I cant sing like Corin, play guitar like Carrie or drum like Janet. Its just not fair.

I have to go out and talk to people soon though, I have been really anti-social and lazy all weekend which...

Ben(our cat) went to the vet today to have a check up on his eye whihc has been shitty from when we got him. The first thing the vet did was look at his newest war wound (he's a fighter, not a lover) and say that it wasn't right. Apparently it had turned into an abcess too quick and he might have something suppressing his...

I'm going to London to day to meet my favourite person in the whole world. I hat e the fact that he lives 300 miles away now. Totally sucks having a best friend you dont see all the time.

Much drinking will go on. Dodgy dancing galore. Followed by a massive headache tomorrow.

Its all good biggrin

Yea, I know what you mean...My best friend just moved 1000's of miles away from me so I'd have to hop on a plane to go see her. Although, it gives me a reason to travel more I guess, and gives me a place to stay wink

I have to say, I picked up the new Sleater-Kinney album and I LOVE IT! So so great, yay for good music!

Hope you don't have too bad of a headache today tongue

This site has been stupidly slow on my PC for the last few days. Very very frustrating. Seems to be ok now though, wasn't sure I could cope for much longer.

My cat has a new name - Killer. He caught a bird today in full view of the house as well. All hunterly and impressive. We may have to stop calling him 'puppy' now....

Im trying to grow my hair out too! But I say that alot and often give up about halfway to my shoulders. Good luck!

That kitty is so cute! First he catches a bird, next he's catching all kinds of little presents and leaving them at your feet! Killer could be a great name wink

Slackness, no update for a week.

Not much happening. Saw a few bands though. Here are some one line reviews.

Magic Numbers - lovely tunes, no presence. A bit dull.

Electralane - rocked. Totally amazing, some of the best guitar riffs I've ever heard.

VHS or Beta - very good, had loads of fun and were a lot more raucus then I expected.

Thats about...

In all the football and election excitment I forgot to mention that I saw Mike FUCKING Watt on Saturday night!!!!! biggrin

Punk Rock legends ahoy!!!

He was excellant. Did this weird almost-prog thing for about 50 minutes with some seriously strange sounds. Totally not what I expected but bloody brilliant none the less. Then he did about another 20 minutes with about 7 songs in it...

Well the Albion stayed up so I had to drink really. Worst hangover munchies ever today and the canteen at work shuts at 1 so I quickly ran out of crisps and things. mad

It was all worth it though as yesterday was brilliant. Incredibly tense and incredibly brilliant at the end. Glad I've got 3 months off till next season though, I need the time...

We managed to make my Dad smile last night but now we are all feeling the consequences. Way too much to drink, this is a very hungover household at the moment biggrin

So we still have a Labour governemnt. Wooperdeedoo. Better then a Tory one but not by much. Still no Green MP either although they are now officially the 3rd biggest party in Brighton &...

Well it looks like I'm definately moving out of home now. The idea was only raised a couple of months ago but now it looks like I have 3 people as commited to living with me as I am to living with them. If we aren't moved in by the end of the summer I'm going to be mightily pissed off.

The main reason I'm...

I have seen Sleater-Kinney twice this week despite my best efforts not to (losing tickets, missing trains). That makes this the second best week ever.

The best week was last year when I saw them 3 times biggrin

Don't you love seeing great bands multiple times close together? I was in heaven when I saw Clutch twice in one night. I also decided that I could see Le Tigre live everyday, and I would never get tired of it.

Also that sounds like a good book...Maybe after I finish my current one Ill have to check it out smile
