Roarke and myself went apartment hunting today. She is kinda fed up with the severe lack of central heat and air in our current house. It doesn't seem too bad now, but this summer when it hits 115 damn degrees the annoying factor will be right up there with Justine TImberlake, all the stickers they put on DVD cases and republicans. Another issue is that the place we seem to have decided on has about 80% shade. That is awesome. Also, It is very quiet = flippin' sweet! I start my new job at Cache Creek tomorrow. I hate new things, but only when they're new. Fuck change. I don't know how long i'll be able to handle it, I keep thinking about that one scene in Men in Black. you know the one...

"They keep us on a Zarconian work week, 32 hours. You'll get used to it... or have a phychotic episode."

Actually it's not really the job itself. That I am actually kinda excited about. It's the 100 miles round trip. If I can't find a ride each day, I am fucked. Working there for a year will cost me $3,150 feel at the end of my lease.

Now I'm not whining by any means. I am just glad that I have a job and have money coming in, but I need to find something close in the next month or two or this will become a bigger brurden than blessing. I have applied for 90 state analyst jobs and have only had 2 interviews. I have BA, but no experience. I have worked and reworked my resume and usually tailor it for specific jobs. So my plea is this: Does anyone have any tips for how to overcome the recent college grad rejection? Any one have any ideas. Maybe careers I haven't thought of. My eventual goal is law enforcement (i know, i know...) I have been applying mostly for analyst positions. Anybody know of good entry level stuff for people with an English degree? Not specifics so much as types of positions that you have found good for getting in on the ground floor. I would really appreciate it.

P.s. here is a sketch I did of Roarke a while back. I used MS paint to color it last night.
