"C-130 rollin' down the strip...."

We had a lame-ass battallion run. *Maybe* 2 miles at a sad shuffle. No good coffee here, just the government issue stuff in the big silver bags. My horrible secret: I use foofy French Vanilla-flavored creamer.

last night went out with my friends here to the local irish pub. had many drinks- guinness and irish car bombs... yum. it was sort of a bachelor party for me without strippers.
i just made the post culinary team. for thanksgiving i will be doing two tallow sculptures, two sugar sculptures, and many croquembuches. going to the library today for inspiration....
slightpressureok:
TALLOW!? Yuck-Oh!!!

But congrats on making the team! I wish I could have Thanksgiving dinner at your DFAC.
froggy:
yeah, it's kinda funny that "culinary" sculptures are supposed to be edible so we make em from beef fat mixed with wax!! not to mention an armiture of wire and styrofoam... why not use clay? still it's all for fun. i've actually seen people snap off a peice of sugar sculpture though and sample it! that's always fun after you spent untold hours making it!

Congratulations!!!

i feel so rejected. my parents would never do this to me.
i guess the army never loved me anyway.

Consider the option: your wife living with you in the BEQ? You know what a bunch of dogs soldiers are!

How long is the on-post housing wait there? In any case, you'll get the BAQ while we're all "out of town!"

I am going there on a 5 day TAD vacation. we've been working 62-74 hour weeks for the last 8 months. it's sort of a much needed break.
