Thank god once again for the Velvet Underground. Came home from a work day that consisted mainly of a tense and intense 5 hour (!!) meeting, feeling like my brain might never recover and realized that the only way to unclog the pipes was to crank Sister Ray to earth shattering volumes and let it shake the walls until they crumbled. Sat completely motionless on the couch and emersed myself in 17 minutes of raw joy and pain that felt like a moment and a lifetime. If somebody asked me to describe beauty I would play them that song. I'm not even beginning to do it justice, but I will be forever in it's thrall...
