Finished a book today by Dennis Lehane, this crime fiction writer I've recently submerged myself in who get mentioned in the same breath as Pelecanos. It was called Darkness, Take My Hand and it freaked my shit out. There were some glimpses into the nature of evil that cut pretty close. It's a mindfuck to let yourself feel close to a character and then watch circumstance push him over that thin line... I'm gonna need a break from this guy.
