OK. I started that new job at the studio last monday. It's going really good. I work 8 to 5 with an hour for lunch. I'm also gonna get my first paycheck May 5 (just in time for the Ministry/Revolting Cocks show on sunday may 7th). I'm really excited to have steady employment and to also be closer to shooting. I did shoot some stuff on Friday, FABRIC SAMPLES!!. I know. Very exciting. It really is however. I will be doing all the imaging for this particular client until they hire someone new and I'm no longer THE NEW GUY. Then the new new guy will do it.
So Friday night I shot a death metal band in Lewisville. The guitarist works for Nikon and can hook me up with a sizeable discount on new equipment, which is the only reason why I said yes to this job. They were super loud and I didn't wear earplugs cuz I'm stupid. My ears were ringing still the next day when I assisted a photographer at the Shiner Bash in Grand Prarie at Nokia Live. HORRIBLE FUCKING NO TALENT ASS CLOWN COUNTRY SHIT BANDS. Enough said. But I made money.
Now here's where the fun began. After this job was over, the photographer and I drove to Rockwall to his mother's house and crashed for a few hours. Then we got up at 1am and drove 4 hours to La Grange to shoot the second day of the Houston to Austin Multiple Sclerosis 150 bike ride (in reality it's 165 miles). 15,000 riders..FIFTEEN THOOOOUUUUSAND. (THAT'S A LOT) We had to be there at 530 when they started riding the second day of the ride. We shot them all day either from the truck while moving or driving ahead of the pack and shooting them as they passed. The photographer got some real amazing shots and it was really amazing to see all of those riders. There were some truely huge hills and I was told that some riders would top 40+ MPH on some of them.. That is just crazy. So we fueled ourselves with huge amounts of caffeine and sugar and just kept working. I drove along side the riders on the wrong side of the road on these country roads in the middle of nowhere. It was rather nerve wracking. I had to be on the look out for the riders, for other officials from the event and stupid hicks driving 60 past 1,000s of riders. And all of this on 1 HOUR OF SLEEP. We finally go finished in Austin around 3PM or so. I was so drained. I was starting to crash from my 14 or so hour caffeine binge and lack of food. We met my brother at Whole Foods for lunch and then Dave drove me to the airport.

finally arrived in Dallas at 9ish.
SW airlines for some reason never posted what baggage claim our bags were coming to. I found out when this chick that was on my plane saw here bag and went running for it. ok. got my shit...drove home...passed out. GOT UP AT 6 TO GO TO WORK.
