So yesterday was my last day of working this year..as far as I know. We shot some ads for the evil empire, Wallyworld, aka walmart. Easter fashions..nothing says the risin o jesus like plastic easter eggs, fake flowers and little baby ducks oh and kids wearing ugly easter clothes probably made in china. The plus side of the day was I WAS MAKING MONEY. Also it turned into a beautiful day, we were at the Dallas Arboretum right by the lake, it was about 50 or so and not a cloud in ths sky.
After we were done there the crew (the photog, myself and the other assistant) found this little hole in the wall BBQ place near Baylor Hospital in Dallas. I had the most ass kicking baked potato with everything and BBQ chicken with BBQ sauce on top. It went down like a brick but DAMN IT WAS GOOD. I wish I could remember the name of the place now. Anyways since we got done so early I had to kill the rest of the work day in the studio which sucked. It was such a nice day I would taken a slight cut in money to leave early, but they would have none of that. SO I got outta work drove that sexy ride home to FT Worth and headed to get coffee.
Some people go and have a beer after work. Since I quit drinking 3 years ago (tomorrow exactly three years wow), I sometimes go to starbucks after work. Yeah I do go there alot. Most of the time I don't even have to pay, that's how often. So I hung out there for a bit and then drove home. ON the way home i did somethign uncharacteristic for me, I voluntarily went clothes shopping. Mervyn's is going outta bidness so I thought I'd stop by and see of they had anything good left. I did score quite good, two pairs of my favorite levi's (569s good for my big ass), a longsleeve shirt thingy and some gray plaid jammy bottoms (which I've been wanting some for a long time). Not bad got all that for about $80.
OK then I helped Todd bring a dog house from his brother's old house to his house. Very exciting. It was one of those dogloos (igloo dog houses). Ironically the company that makes most of them is about 20 miles from here and i worked on a photoshoot at their factory.
Then it was off to the Fox and Hound Pub, a place I've been atleast 1,000 times...literally. Anyways played some pool, kicked 31 flavors of ass (thanks elmnopo), ate some healthy fried bar food and then left to go to Johnny's. A good time was had by all and I left there at 3am and came home and dropped into bed. I had been going non-stop since 630am after all. Well that's about it for yesterday's excitment.
Today I'm still in my pjs and it's 230pm..probably time for some clothes. It's such a beautiful day again that elmnopo and I are gonna go mtn biking later. See ya.
