so much to cover. first off: happy holidays to everyone.
my trip to mississippi went like this: 4am the supershuttle picks me up. (pretty awesome actually. more fun and less money than a cab for sure) BUT my cat, trixy, peed and shat in her carrying case on the way to the airport. the poor cat couldn't escape it and the pee leaked through onto my jeans leaving us both covered in cat piss. get to lga and wait in an hour long line to get my boarding pass (can't use echeck-in with a pet). i get my tickets and head outside for my final cigarette. i sit down to smoke and realize i have lost my ticket. first time i've ever done that. felt like shit. went and cut in line. got another boarding pass. clean up the cat. get the middle seat. cat pees herself again. clean up the cat during layover. get to mississippi.
it was all uphill from there. my brother and i gambled and smoked our way through sunday. christmas day at the casino i won $441 i started out with $100.
i ruled at texas hole 'em. it was an exciting revelation(i know that i can lose. don't worry).
the weather was beautiful. it felt good to bask in the sun. i forget what it feels like during the nyc winters. i walked around in a tshirt, jeans, and flip flops. my parents have woods behind their house so i took a walk back there. found this pretty leaf V
my mom bought me some new clothes. which is always excitng. i also got new glasses:
i think they make me look smart. i have a hard time picking out glasses. i think these are atleast better than my last pair. ::shrug:: i also figured i'd try being a real brunette again. my roots were starting to show.
ate lots of good food. hung out with the family. they didn't see my tattoo. things were good.
OH MY GOSH, i almost forgot the most exciting thing. for my early graduation present my parents are getting me Olympus EVOLT E-500. i originally wanted the canon digital rebel xt, but this camera seems to have the same features plus a few and is $100 cheaper. i'm so stoked. hopefully my dad orders it soon. you can count on more pictures after that. plus i'm taking a photography class next semester which'll be awesome. ::sigh:: what a good trip.
now i'm back here in ny. designing the costumes for another show. there are only 13 though, so i'm not worried. another visitor (or two) in the living room. eh, c'est la vie. now to catch up on sg and unpack. should be a pretty calm day.
