Last entry I was on furlough, since then shit has changed.
I got called in to do a remote project in sunny Victorville CA, in August. I asked they why they hated me so much. The Mojave desert in Aug is some crap! But, it was good work, lots of OT, and just before the stimulus unemployment ran dry. At least we worked mostly inside a large hangar, so it wasn't in direct sun (the heat radiating of the planes that were [pulled in from said sun still sucked!).
I took my drone hoping to get some good arial photos, but never went out once. Also brought my GoPros and got some great time lapse of the drive. Yes, I am an aviation master mechanic that hates to fly, plus they couldn't tell me what I was gonna be doing for sure, so I brought more tooling than I needed. Good thing too, coz none of it was what they told me! Anyway, the road trip was from way up on Whidbey Island WA down to Bakersfield CA where I hopped off 5 and went around the back side of the LA basin and into Victorville. The trip home I got a line on a Pug puppy a friend had rescued in New Mexico, and I drove out to meet her in Tuscon to get him. Silly bugger got bit by a rattle snake 3 days before I went, but being a strong boy and very lucky, he was just fine. I wonder about brain damage at times, but he *is* a pug,... ;) Wanting to avoid breaking down in somplace resembling the corner of Bumfuck and You Gotta Purdy Mouth, I elected to take a route I knew fairly well having lived in CA for 11 years and made the drive between LA and the Seattle area many times. So I hopped on 10 all the way back into Riverside, cut across the 210, and hopped on 5 heading North. Got some excellent time lapse, just nothis super spectacular I want to share here or on my DeviantArt account, just good learning material.
Been back at work ever since, scraping by but at least making my own $ again. For obvious reasons I haven't been able to connect with any new models, or familiar ones for that matter. A couple bites here and there, but other than my Dear Lady, nobody I can set up a shoot with. She has taken a liking to the low key work and being bound, flogged, etc., so we may do that again in the near future. One can hope.
Oh yes, in the middle of my trip to CA I got caught up in the great Fascistbook purge of the unbeleivers, for something someone else posted, that didn't violate TOS. It took them 3 months to come back with a final verdict of fuck off nazi accompanied by a lifetime ban from the platform. Evidently libertarians are nazis now, who knew,... A couple months later Fascistbook piddled on my Instagram and that got shut down even after the Insta techies made about 40 attempts to turn it back on. So between thge two I lost many years worth of photos, video, other data, gone forever with zero chance to recover a single byte. The fact that I think Trump is a disgusting sack and is a disgrace to the office, evidently also thinking that the warhawk puppet of the banksters and the worst law enforcement shill in SFO aren't much better will get you hated on too. Lets see if this platform follow suit!
