Where does time go? Seriously.
-Austin was amazing, I want to go back again and again and again. The drive's not all that bad either, especially when you take a break to go lookin' at plastinated bodies!!!! The exibit was FUCKING incredible, I think my favorite was a man who had been sliced lengthways about 5 times, so you could see his face and chest (with hair) and penis, then another slice with eye sockets and beginning of the ribcage, the inside of the gonads and the the next slice with more intestines and so on until it was just the back of his body. . .all with his skin!!! He even had tattoos, he had a pirate ship on his upper arm and a gypsy woman on the lower arm. . .fanfuckingtastic!!! The only part that got to me was a pregant woman with her baby actually poised for birth, they both must have died during childbirth. Surprising I teared up a little, I'm usually pretty good about seperating science from emotion, but that got to me. They had her in a beautiful postion though, she looked like she was posing for a Botticelli.
I only got to go to one stip club in Austin and it was ok. . .there were definitly some smoking girls there, but the situation in which we were in at that point in time kind ruined the whole night. . .never go to a strip club with a couple who are seperated and one has definite self-esteem issues. . .not cool, man. . .not cool. She didn't quite understand the whole stripclub mentality. . .and I think she was pissed cause I kept getting most of the attention, I told her that you've got to GIVE attention to GET attention, but I think she should just stay far away until she gets to know herself and her sexuality a little bit better. I did get a hot girls number though, (go me!). . .what I will do with it I'm not so sure.
I have also totally ruined myself with all movie going experiences. The Alamo Drafthouse is really the only way to see a movie. We saw GrindHouse and 28 Weeks Later which I thought both were phenomenal. . .but we were also able to get pitchers of beer and lunch during the movie, I had the best grilled cheese EVAR and their beer list goes on forever. . .it seriously is a dream come true and I'm pissed that there is nothing like that here. Oklahoma and it's goddamn bible belt liquor laws.
Jeez, too much has happened, DeadCenter was really great this year, if any of you OKC kids went. I saw some really great documentaries and The Flaming Lips show was fun, (and free!!!) and it was beautiful night to have been outside. After seeing the concert on the big screen I was kind of pissed at myself that I didn't go. . .My friend Cory got some great face time though. I don't have any fucking pictures either, I have been very lazy with the whole picture taking as of late. I did get to do some modeling for some really cool people though. I modeled for this chick who takes photos like they did back in the early 1900's, glass negatives and silver nitrate and everything!!! That was an interesting experience, you have to stay still for a minute as to not fuck up the exposure. It's crazy, my body parts are incased in these beautiful glass negatives. With all the digital photography now days, it's refreshing to meet someone who still does it old old school.
Alright, hope everyone is having a glorious weekend!!
