Had the best day I've had in a very long time. Went to a local community gathering, it wasn't really a fair or festival, had bands and booths and such, called Thibodauxville. I met my best friend and his girlfriend, my ex-girl of seven years, over there. We had a good time, though brief because they were attending a wedding; I hung around downtown for awhile afterwards it was cool. She invited me too meet them later that night at a club called Yesterdays to celebrate her upcoming b-day.
That night: I saw a great band in Houma, called Viscera. I knew 4 of the five members. From different places worked with one went to school with one and the others were friends of friends. It was their first show, I didn't even know they had a band. I've just been frequenting this place called Tab Benoit's Lagniappe music cafe pretty often since single life has begun. Flying solo has worked pretty well because I always run into people I've lost touch with over the years. I left after the first song of the headliner band Mary's Mouth to go to Yesterday's. At Yesterday's a good time was had by all, I hung out with her sisters, brother-in law, and boyfriend while she partied it up on the dance floor. At the end of the night I gave her a card and we had a really nice talk. It is so great to finally be cool about everything. All 3 of us have been close friends since highschool, and I have just refused to say fuck it and be angry. Friends mean a whole lot to me. I'm glad we can all finally hang. I think that my boy feels more awkward than my ex and I do. I brought her brother-n-law home because his pregnant wife left early, he's gonna be in the dog house for a very long time, the great thing is that I will hear no repercussions from anyone since I am so removed from that family. that being said it was great catching up with everyone. I feel as giddy as a man can be right now, maybe that's all the redbull. For being a sober guy I do spend a lot of time in bars, oh well I've rambled long enough.

I completely hate the Draize tests. At least when animals are used for medical research something good can come of it--testing makeup is just terrible and a waste of poor rabbit life.
