Question for you all: What's your healthiest outlet for burning off your anger when it occurs?

So many things occurred today to take me into a state of fury I haven't been at for many years. I'm not overly proud of some of the interactions that I had today because of this.

-

I came home and laser-focused my rage into heavy metal and a violent action movie. They both burned off my energy and calmed me down. Now I am sitting in my massage chair, my feet in a foot massager and a cat on my lap, back at peace.

-

Why am I telling you this? Because everyone needs to figure out a way to redirect their anger in a healthy and non-harmful way. Not to write angry comments and blogs on Social Media and burn bridges, not to flip the bird to people on motorcycles, not to yell at your pets or kids or loved ones, not to punch holes in walls, not to get drunk and pick a fight. Something that you can let out negative passionate energy and get yourself back to level. Today, mine was heavy metal and a violent action movie. Tomorrow might be my punching bag, or a video game, or venting to someone I trust, or who knows? What's yours?

@aschiron thank you!  I appreciate you saying you love this. I try to have a healthy attitude towards most of the darker emotions. I don’t always succeed, but I always try. Music and singing is great. But smashing old tech?  That’s brilliant!  Especially if technology is making you angry, then you go hammer it out on their older brethren. Amazing!
