Finally one evening without work to do. I've been going out every night because one of my friends from Europe is in town + I've been working on Cannes stuff. I haven't had much free time for the last 7 days but fortunately things will come down at the end of the week.
It looks like one of Cannes' highlight is a Mexican film, Batalla en el cielo and we were able to catch its director for an interview. However, my French editor walked out of Lars Von Trier's new film, Mandalay, the 2nd episode of his American trilogy - she said it was so racist it was disgusting (the theme is slavery.)
In terms of music, I can't get enough of the new albums from The Stereophonics & NIN. I'm also looking forward to a couple of CDs: Audioslave and Bebel Gilberto's new remixes.

mmm, sorry to burst your bubble, but the audioslave one really really absolutely sucks. cause i said so. LOL.
no wonder theyw ere only allowing press to listen to 5 tracks in the label's offices, they were afraid about the things people could write BEFORE the release date. now, at least here in italy, most reviews will get published after the cd hits the stores, so most people will jump and buy it. LOL.

I'm actually heading up to LA this weekend, but I doubt I can convince the girls to go to Ameoba. I think I'll have ot make another trip up on my own in the near future.
I've never seen Front 242 live. I considered going to that show, but passed for some reason that I can't recall. Speaking of shows, did you go to the free Audioslave show?
