I've started going to the Latino film festival. It's a lot of fun and people are nice. I saw "Lieutenant Castillo" who's the founder of the festival. He is so much nicer in person than as Crockett's boss
On Sunday I skipped the festival to go see Sonic Youth. They played in that crappy little venue, which gave it some kind of underground tone--except that was full of kids. Kim Gordon even made people laugh when she said "it's good to be in Pomona"..who has ever heard of Pomona ?? The show was good but I wished they had played cool old noisy songs from Dirty..like "100%".
Finally, in the moron category, some dumbass kept e-mailing me hate messages for the last 2 days about what I wrote about a film. Of course I couldn't help ridiculing him, which wasn't too hard, but I suspect he might be the screenwriter of the film as well as of 2 other big action stinkers

Cheap cameras definitely give interesting distorted results sometimes. I think I've taken more interesting shots with my crappy $25 digital than with my $270 Nikon.
