In other news...
Well, I quit my job.
I kind of have mixed feelings about that. They offered me a leave of absence since my main reason given for wanting to leave was needing time off to deal with things and get over burn out.
I'm thinking I'll only accept part-time contract work from them.
The only way I think I could have screwed myself is when I explain why I left to the next place that hires me.
"Well... the place was run by a bunch of stupid assholes and I didn't want to work there anymore.... Is that a good enough reason?"
Good news is it looks like the job market is going to perking along quite nicely this year.

I feel dirty. I did the windows update stuff and it made me click a dialog box saying 'always trust microsoft'
I'm sure you'll find something better for your next job-- or at least a new and different set of assholes to work with.
