The various updates:

NaNoWriMo - well, I read two books on writing already. It's interesting to see how it's really done. It doesn't seem so bad, but.... I haven't started writing yet
That's not entirely true. I've spent a lot of time, some time at least -- about 5 hours, working on an outline.
I've already got it down, in a vague way, to the main characters, the main story, and about 25 scenes.
I figure if I break it down into roughly 2,000 page chunks it'll make it manageble.

There are some good and bad things from this. First it's really a rush to realize what's it's like to be a writer. You create a world. You recreate it actually. Taking your digesting your own experience and imaginings and presenting them a language for others to mentally re-enact.
You get to choose the view. A microscope, a telescope, Panoramic binoculars.
I go to KFC to pick up some dinner, not myself. This place just epitomized all that is *wrong*. First of all it's one of those corporation "synergistic" fast-food franchise deals where it's a Taco Bell too. Two different kinds of processed greasy food. You can get the market driven cheesy special. The place was a mess, in many senses. I was paying extra attention since I was thinking about writing, reformulating this into something to churn out.
So I give my order: it was $6.66, order number 69. chalk up another one
I'm having these conversations with myself on that nature of naivety versus calculated action. The relativity of them: foolish and ignorant or fresh and innocent; clever and sophisticated, or manipulative and shallow.

So I'm not sure about getting serious and completing it. I think it can really be therapeutic to write. It's easy to just write about your own experiences and scramble them up for fiction.

I'm used to being analytical, but for me at work it's about obscure and mundane things. Applying to life in general, the experience of it, is cool. There were two things I said I wanted to be when I was a kid: either a scientist or a writer.

Life is a story actually. Lots of small ones in a row. One big one with all the details of your own. Your own which is actually very simple and common like anyone elses.
We're told this story through our senses. The audience and fellow participants the people around us every day.
I've been thinking about will and transformation a lot lately. Life as a game.

So this plot that I came up with is surprisingly like a lot like the Beavis and Butthead movie. I saw that tonight and forgot how good it actually was. Actually my story is completely lame, but it has the wandering fool kind of idea to it. It's all derivative.

Here's a basic story premise: separation, initiation, return

The idea is just to get anything done. Whether or not I continue depends on whether I have the inspiration to get at least a 2k word chapter out in a few hours. If I can pump out 2k at a time, or 3 or 4 2k chunks in a busy day then it'll be a go.
I've done the preparation and the outline so now it's just a matter of diving in and writing proper.

By the way this is part of my "no-edit" method of writing instead of staring at the screen for about an hour trying to think and re-think every thing.
Even so I wrote, and re-wrote a bunch of crap for over an hour before just erasing it all. That won't do.
