Today did not turn out as planned, but after throwing a big hissy fit at work, I think I am over it. Feeling pretty good after a long 2 hour bath *ahhhhhhh* While I was soaking I began to wonder if I am really a grown up. Do younger people see me in grocery stores and know how old I am? Or do they see me as someone their age? What makes you a grown up anyway?(other than age) I tried to think of everything in my life that would label me as an adult. This is what I came up with...

1. I have debt, you know credit cards, loans, medical bills, utility bills and so on
2. I own a plunger, a vacuum, a light weight hard floor vacuum, a little green clean machine, and other various house hold appliances.
3. I don't get carded for cigarettes anymore, but I still get carded for beer (thank god...I am always so proud to show the clerk my ID)
4. I have doctors appointments scheduled months in advance.
5. I get paid vacation and holidays at my work (this, for some reason, makes me feel very adult)
6. I have had the same bank account for 10 years.
7. I must drink coffee first thing in the morning, or I will not make it out the door. (this habit did not start until I was 25)
8. I have a 401K and stock options.

And that's about all I could come up with...seems like a pretty short list. I feel like there should be more to being an adult than that. What do you think? Are you grown up yet? What do you feel makes you an adult? I can't figure it out...can you?
