So I may have yet another job interview tommorrow. I think it includes a drug test. I've never been in the position of actually worrying about that before.
Yes, I will be joining the ever shrinking group known to all as the US call center representatives. Not one of those people who calls you to beg you desperatly to buy things from them so their families don't starve (which sometimes hits home 'cause they call most usually when you sit down for dinner) but instead I will be answering phones and helping people with their gas and electricity needs.
I don't see why this warrants a drug test. There is no heavy lifting involved. I can most certainly answer a phone and work a computer while high.(not that I would be high at work, and I really think the residuals from getting high the nigt before don't inhibit you as much as getting a good buzz on the night before)

And as I'm writing this my TV just went out. I guess those are the things you must deal with when paying for a $150 cheater box.

But I get free PPV and porn.

I refuse to work at a job that does mandatory drug tests. I know when you need a job, you need a job, but like you said, what the fuck does what you do at home when you're not at work have to do with getting your job done? The only time i think companies should drug test is in the case of accidents where physical harm is done. Otherwise, if someone's performance isn't hindered by being on PCP, LSD, Cocaine, Heroin, and Clorox Bleach, it should be of no concern to the employer. But alas, this "Free" Country is only a pharce. Corporations rule and we must obey lest they cut off our food supply (paychecks).

Either way, good luck with getting the job. Money is always good, and if you're going to be helping people it cant be all bad. wink
