I guess I'm about due for an update...

Christmas
Went home to spend Christmas with the family and old family friends. Had a good time. Ate more than a man my size should reasonably be able to consume. Put on a whopping... two pounds. Disappointing. Was basically spoiled rotten.
From the parents: new tires!, food processor, ticket for an Oilers/Predators game in March
From the brothers: Chapters gift card, popcorn maker, DVDs
From my wonderful girlfriend: The Professional Chef (amazing cookbook), some fancy vinegar, a gorgeous new chef's knife and some fancy spice rubs

New Year's
Down to Calgary to spend some time with Jody. Had a wonderful time with her. Good food was had. Ice cream was made. Hockey was watched. Cheese was eaten. We went to a friend's New Year's party together. Apart from a bout of stabbing stomach pain the evening was a lot of fun.

Unfortunately now I'm back home and sick. I'm missing Jody like crazy, I'm stressed out about everything in my life and I'm hungry and have no groceries.

So far 2008 can suck the big one.
