"If God had intended man to fly he would have given him wings."

Sound familiar? Today I read an article where a man said, "If God had intended for same sex marriage, He would have created two Adams." I had to laugh. Maybe he should give up flying, driving, swimming, the phone, the computer and fast food. Oh yeah, and underwear.

Prejudice is a horrible, debilitating evil, and anyone who has experienced it knows what I'm talking about. Somewhere, deep down inside, a little voice is saying, "What if they're right?" The feeling that you are unworthy creeps up and slowly affects your entire life. Are you good enough for that job? Are you good enough for that house? Are you good enough for that neighborhood? You feel shame and disgust for yourself. Your self-worth shrivels to the size of a pea. And you're pretty sure that will go away too. No one can explain it accurately. You have to experience it to understand it. I cannot even get close to explaining it.

Is that why so many people are prejudiced? Because they haven't experienced it and they never will? I wish it were that simple to understand. But I know people who have been victims of prejudice yet still carry their own prejudices. I don't understand how that can be. Why don't they feel the pain they are causing?

There are many ways to be prejudiced. Sex, sexual preference, color, race, and religion are only the most obvious. There are a million more ways to set yourself above other people. God seems to personally talk to many people, and he tells them all different things.

I just want to say, there are pharmaceutical drugs for that.
