I am actually German. I love sauerkraut, it just doesn't like me so much. It should come with a caution label when i eat it, preferably in a t-shirt format that i could wear around after eating it, that would read "CAUTION: I just ate a lot of sauerkraut, you've been warned"

The Maya were... interesting. I was an Anthropology/Mathematics double major, and my University (Vanderbilt) had that civilization as their major focus (in Anthropology). It would be fascinating to see how all aspects of their culture tied together- because they were brilliant mathematically and astronomically... and yet their leaders were pretty, well... weird. (Ritual genital bloodletting, hallucinogenic enemas, and various other odd habits just for starters...) In the same general area of the world the Aztec always particularly interested me, because they were still around when the Spanish arrived, so there is actual written history to go on. But they were a bit too scary for me to want to actually visit them...
